| Native Village is a small private zoo on the Seminole
Reservation Grounds has been in operation for over 20 years. The
owner/operator is Mike "Skeet" Johns, who has worked with animals all his
life and is dedicated to saving some of Florida endangered animals through
a caring program here at the Village. We are proud to be one
of the oldest, all natural and native attractions in Florida. Native
Village also works with youth through their youth community service program,
offering them the opportunity to give back to the community and nature.
Visitors explore the ecology, biology, and history about the area and the
world we live in.
The Native Village has also worked on many South Florida Films & TV Documentaries/Shows and is always available to future productions where at the Village or location. Skeet is an animal wrangle for hire! Each visitor has the option of enjoying
the zoo at his or her own pace. You may spend as much time in the park
as you prefer, however, the average stay is about three hours. We offer
a wide variety of programs and tours dealing with our state's native history
and wildlife that call Florida their home. Our atmosphere is casual, fun,
and entertaining, and is a great place to visit for those looking to see
the real native Florida.
